Plantation Field Horse Trials
May 10, 2010 -
Kate, barn manager at Locochee, headed to Plantation Field Horse Trials this past weekend to compete her own Itchy Garrett and Tebogo's Grubby Soldier. She was accompanied by Locochee clients Jackie McGuinness riding Pepper, Hannah McSween riding Love Potion Number Nine, Sarah Griffith and Irish Hero, and Leslie Page's recently purchased Cardinio who was competed by Courtney Olmstead.
Kate and Itchy placed 2nd in a large Beginner Novice Division and will be moving up to Novice at their next event; Grubby scored an impressive 24.4 in dressage but dropped down to 8th overall because of some 'intended' time penalties in an Open Novice Division! Jackie and Pepper had a very successful outing in a large Training Division and finished third, and on their dressage score. Hannah and Nine also had a great go in their first event of the season and finished 8th in the Junior Beginner Novice Division. Sarah and Hero kept up their good work and finished 5th in Novice Rider. Courtney and Cardinio placed 5th also in an Open Novice Division.
All in all a very good weekend for Locochee horses and riders.
